CTC Wheelers Hill

CTC Wheelers Hill in VIC is a bit of a local institution, tucked away in Brandon Park Shopping Centre. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill tobacconist, mind you – they’ve branched out beyond the usual smokes and lighters to offer quite an eclectic mix of goods. You’ll find everything from luggage to handbags, and would you believe it, even soft toys alongside the traditional tobacco products.

The staff here are proper gems, especially Sharon who visitors say really brightens up the place. They’ve got that knack for remembering regular customers and their usual orders, which gives the shop a real personal touch. It’s the kind of place where you walk in and feel like you’re catching up with old mates rather than just making a purchase.

When it comes to prices, visitors reckon they’re pretty competitive compared to other shops in the area. Even the lighters won’t break the bank, which is always a bonus. The shop accepts all the usual payment methods – cards, EFTPOS, and cash, so you’re sorted whatever your preference.

They keep decent hours too, opening their doors at 8:30 most mornings (9am on Sundays if you’re having a bit of a sleep-in), and staying open until 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Other days they wrap up at 5:30pm, except weekends when they close at 5pm. Just keep in mind that occasionally you might spot a “back in 10 minutes” sign on the door – might be worth timing your visit during peak hours to avoid any hassle.

The store maintains a clean, professional atmosphere, and while it mightn’t be the biggest shop around, it’s got most of what you’d expect from a tobacconist. The whole setup is pretty straightforward – the staff are approachable and helpful, and the prices won’t make your wallet weep. It’s the kind of place that’s managed to stick around because they’ve got the basics right.
