Cignall MCity

Cignall – M-City in Clayton, Victoria is your typical local tobacconist, but with a bit of a mixed reputation. The shop maintains regular trading hours throughout the week, opening at 9am Monday through Saturday (10am on Sundays) and closing at 6pm most days, with slightly later closings until 6:30pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

The store stocks a decent range of smoking accessories, though we’ve heard some visitors mention the tobacco selection can be a bit limited and occasionally on the dry side. Still, they keep the basics covered with cigarettes, rolling papers, and various smoking accessories. The shop itself is kept clean and well-organized, which is always nice to see in a local tobacco store.

When it comes to customer service, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Many regulars rave about the friendly staff, particularly mentioning one counter girl who’s known for her lovely smile and helpful attitude. There’s even a story about how she remembers regular customers’ names after just a few visits, which adds that personal touch you don’t always get these days. On the flip side, some visitors have reported less-than-stellar experiences with staff attitude, so your mileage might vary.

Price-wise, visitors generally reckon it’s pretty reasonable, with many mentioning good deals and competitive prices. The store accepts various payment methods including EFTPOS, card, and cash, making it convenient for all sorts of customers. One interesting tidbit: they’ve even helped out customers by holding parcels for collection, which shows they’re willing to go the extra mile for their community.

The shop has become a bit of a local fixture, and while it mightn’t be the fanciest tobacconist around, it gets the job done. Just keep in mind that like any retail experience, your visit might depend on which staff member you get on the day. If you’re after basic tobacco products and smoking accessories, it’s worth checking out, especially if you’re in the Clayton area.
