About
TSG Brisbane City on Adelaide Street offers a mixed bag when it comes to your tobacco shopping needs. The store stocks all your typical tobacconist essentials, including a decent selection of cigars that visitors seem pretty chuffed about. You’ll find the usual suspects here: cigarettes, rolling papers, lighters, and various smoking accessories.
The pricing situation is a bit of a head-scratcher, with some folks reckon it’s a bargain while others reckon it’s a bit steep. Guess it depends on what you’re after and when you visit. They take all sorts of payment methods including EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you won’t be caught short at the register.
The store’s got convenient parking nearby, which is a real bonus if you’re driving in. They’re open seven days a week from 7am to 7pm, so there’s plenty of time to pop in whenever suits. The location’s pretty central, making it a handy spot for city workers and locals alike.
When it comes to service, well, it’s been a bit hit and miss lately. Some visitors rave about the friendly staff and great service, saying the team’s helpful and knows their stuff. Others haven’t had such a ripper time, mentioning communication issues and less-than-stellar customer service. Like my mate always says, sometimes you catch people on a good day, sometimes you don’t.
The store environment itself is pretty standard for a tobacconist – neat and organized, with everything you’d expect to find. Look, it mightn’t be the fanciest tobacco shop you’ll ever visit, but it does the job. If you’re in the Adelaide Street area and need to stock up, it’s worth checking out, just keep in mind that your experience might vary depending on when you visit.

four stars
I write this review as a cigar smoker only,
TSG Brisbane City Adelaide St used to have a good range of cigars and blew the other CBD tobacco shops away on price ($20-$40 a stick less than across the road.) This was for a time after they took over the shop from Sam’s Smokes as they continued to get in cigars.
This is no longer the case.
They still have some left-over cigars available (a few cubans I think) at semi-reasonable prices but it seems they have given away the cigar side of the business. I don’t know if they continue to store them properly as Sam’s Smokes used to?
I give them 3 stars as they might be fine if you’re after vapes or cigarettes. (idk) But probably don’t bother for cigars.
