About
Wattle Grove Newsagency & Tobacconist in Western Australia is your local spot for all your tobacco needs, plus it doubles as a newsagency and parcel collection point. They keep things pretty straightforward with your typical tobacconist offerings – cigarettes, rolling papers, and various smoking accessories. We’ve heard from quite a few visitors that the prices here are really competitive, which is always a bonus when you’re watching your wallet.
The staff here can be a bit hit or miss, to be honest. Some folks rave about the service they’ve received, especially mentioning this lovely lady at the counter who’s always super polite and helpful. But like any place, they’ve had their off days too. One time, there was a bit of a drama with their opening hours – they’re supposed to be open from 8:30 in the morning until 6:30 at night during the week, and until 6 on Saturdays. Sundays they kick off a bit later at 11 and wrap up at 5. Just keep in mind that sometimes they might be running a tad behind schedule with opening up.
They’ve got EFTPOS and take cards along with cash, so no worries about payment options. The shop also offers lottery tickets if you’re feeling lucky, and from what we’ve heard, the counter service for that is pretty efficient. It’s one of those places that’s got a bit of everything – your smokes, your papers, your news, and those odds and ends you might need in a pinch.
While some customers have had absolute ripper experiences here, others reckon the service could use a bit of work, especially when it comes to parcel collection. You might want to make sure all your ID details match up perfectly if you’re picking up a package. Still, for most visitors who are just after their usual tobacco supplies, it seems to do the job just fine.
