Western Tobacconist

Western Tobacconist in Cockburn Central is your go-to spot for all things tobacco-related in WA. They’ve got their doors open every day from 8am to 8pm, which is pretty convenient if you ask me. The shop’s got a ripper selection of tobacco products and accessories – we’ve heard from regulars that they’re always well-stocked with everything you might need.

The pricing here is generally on the money, with most visitors saying they offer competitive rates on cigarettes and tobacco products. Though there’s been a bit of back-and-forth about prices (one person reckons there’s a cheaper spot in Murray St), the majority of customers reckon they’re getting good value for their dollar here. Plus, we’ve heard they sometimes throw in a discount for loyal customers, which is always a nice touch.

When it comes to service, it’s mostly positive vibes from the team. Most visitors rave about the friendly staff who go above and beyond – there’s even a story about the owner offering a cold drink to a customer on a scorching day (how’s that for hospitality?). The staff apparently knows their stuff too, happy to guide you through their range and help you find exactly what you’re after. Though, like any place, there’s been the odd grumble about service, but these seem to be few and far between.

One small hiccup worth mentioning is the parking situation – it can be a bit of a pain in the neck according to some customers. But if you’re not fussed about a short walk, it shouldn’t be too much drama. The shop accepts all the usual payment methods – EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you’re covered whatever your preference.

It’s clear this place has built up quite a following over the years. Some customers have been coming back for yonks, which says something about both their range and service. Whether you’re a regular smoker or just need to stock up on the basics, they’ve got you sorted with all the standard tobacco products and accessories you’d expect from a proper tobacconist.
