Smokemart Cloverdale

Smokemart Cloverdale in Western Australia is your classic tobacco shop with a surprising twist. While they’ve got all your usual smokes and accessories sorted, what really sets them apart is their impressive range of gift items. We’ve heard from plenty of visitors that it’s actually become a bit of a go-to spot for pressies, even if you’re not a smoker yourself.

The shop keeps pretty decent hours, opening at 8am Monday through Saturday (though they have a bit of a sleep-in on Sundays, starting at 11am). They stay open till 7pm most days, with a late night on Thursday till 9pm, and shorter days on weekends, closing at 5pm. Makes it pretty convenient to pop in after work or during your weekend shopping.

Price-wise, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. Some reckon they’ve got the best prices in the area for cigarettes, while others mention things can be on the dearer side. There was this one time a customer had a bit of drama over a price discrepancy with a drink cup, so maybe double-check the price tags if you’re particular about that sort of thing.

The service here seems to generally hit the mark, though it can be a bit hit-or-miss. Most visitors rave about the friendly staff who really know their stuff, especially when it comes to helping you pick out gifts. That said, we’ve heard a few stories about the occasional grumpy day behind the counter. But hey, who doesn’t have those?

They’ve got all your standard tobacco shop items like cigarettes, lighters, and rolling papers, plus a fair whack of household bits and bobs. The gift section is apparently quite the winner – we’re talking everything from novelty items to practical pressies. They’re conveniently located near Woolies too, which makes it easy to knock out multiple errands in one go.

The shop takes all forms of payment – cards, EFTPOS, and good old cash. No need to make a special trip to the ATM before popping in. It’s not just a quick in-and-out shop either; some folks actually enjoy having a browse around their gift section, making it more of a proper shopping experience than your average tobacco store.
