Banjos Tobacconist in Newport, Victoria has become a bit of a local legend, and it’s not hard to see why. This ripper of a shop has earned quite a reputation for being one of the most welcoming tobacco stores you’ll find in the area. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by staff who actually seem chuffed to see you – not something you get everywhere these days!

What really sets this place apart is their impressive range of products. Besides your usual tobacco accessories, they’ve got this awesome selection of American treats that visitors can’t stop raving about. We’re talking hard-to-find American lollies and those BANG! energy drinks that everyone’s after. The tobacco selection is top-notch too, with pretty much everything you’d expect from a quality tobacconist. Visitors say the prices are an absolute bargain – reckon you’ll find stuff here for almost half what you’d pay elsewhere.

The customer service is something else entirely. We’ve heard that Banjo himself is a proper gentleman who goes out of his way to help customers, and the rest of the team follows suit. They’ve got this knack for making everyone feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time in. One visitor mentioned that they always walk out with a smile on their face, which says a lot about the atmosphere they’ve created.

They’re pretty generous with their opening hours too. During the week they’re up and at it from 6:30 AM right through to 10 PM, while weekends are a bit more relaxed with an 8 AM start on Saturdays and 9 AM on Sundays – still running till 10 PM though. Perfect for those late-night emergency runs.
