Mt Gifts And Tobacco

Mt Gifts And Tobacco in Kensington, Victoria is your typical neighborhood tobacconist, though visitors have mixed things to say about the place. The shop’s got a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde situation going when it comes to service – some reckon the staff are absolute champions, quick on their feet and properly friendly, while others have had encounters that were… well, let’s just say less than stellar.

When it comes to what they’ve got on the shelves, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. While some visitors say they’ve got a decent range, others mention they’re a bit light on some basics like tailor-made cigarettes. The selection of papers and filter tips isn’t exactly breaking any records either. That said, they keep the place nice and tidy, and apparently they’re pretty good at bringing in new products now and then.

One thing that seems to get people talking is their prices. Quite a few visitors reckon they’re pretty competitive – one bloke mentioned scoring his Man Reds for seven bucks cheaper than what you’d pay in the CBD. Not too shabby if you’re watching your wallet! The shop’s got a proper setup for payments too, accepting EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you’re covered however you like to pay.

They’re open seven days a week, which is handy – 8:30 to 7 Monday through Friday, 9 to 7 on Saturdays, and 9:30 to 5 on Sundays. Another nice touch is that they actually pick up when you give them a ring, which isn’t always a given these days. The store’s got a clean, organized feel to it, and some visitors say there’s a nice atmosphere about the place. You can pop in, grab what you need (maybe even a cheeky Coke Zero while you’re at it), and be on your way without any drama.

Just keep in mind that your experience might depend on who’s behind the counter that day. It’s one of those places where timing can make all the difference to your shopping experience.
