Forest Hill Tobacconist

Forest Hill Tobacconist in VIC is one of those places that just gets it right. This family-run business, managed by Vincent and Dolly, has become a bit of a local favourite, and it’s easy to see why. I popped in there recently and was struck by how they’ve managed to pack such a comprehensive range into what looks like a modest-sized shop.

The store’s selection is properly impressive, with a wide variety of tobacco products and accessories that’ll satisfy most smokers’ needs. They’ve got everything from your everyday smokes to rolling papers and a nice selection of lighters. What’s really caught people’s attention though is their pricing. We’ve heard from lots of visitors that their prices are among the most competitive in Melbourne, which is always good news for the wallet.

The customer service here is genuinely top-notch, none of that fake cheerfulness you sometimes get elsewhere. Vincent and Dolly have this knack for making everyone feel welcome, whether you’re a regular or just dropping in for the first time. They’re always ready to help you find what you need and work within your budget, which is a breath of fresh air these days.

The shop keeps pretty standard hours, opening at 9am Monday through Saturday (10am on Sundays), and closing at 5:30pm most days, with slightly later closings at 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays. They’re open till 5pm on weekends, which is handy if you need to stock up. The store accepts all the usual payment methods including EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you won’t be caught short.

What really stands out about this place is how many long-term customers they’ve got. Visitors often mention they’ve been shopping here for years, which says a lot about both the service and value they’re getting. The shop’s always kept clean and tidy too, making it a pleasant spot for your tobacco shopping needs. If you’re in the Forest Hill area and looking for a reliable tobacconist, this place is definitely worth checking out.
