TSG Carlton in Victoria might just surprise you when you first walk in. Don’t let the modest storefront fool you – this place opens up like Mary Poppins’ handbag once you’re inside. We’ve heard from regulars that it’s actually quite spacious, stretching way back with plenty of room to browse without feeling like you’re playing human tetris with other customers.

The store’s got a ripper selection of tobacco products that’ll make any smoker feel like a kid in a candy store. Visitors say they stock everything from your everyday ciggies to rolling papers, lighters, and heaps more. The variety’s apparently pretty impressive, and what’s even better, we’ve heard the prices are actually cheaper than what you’d find at your local supermarket. You beauty!

When it comes to service, well, it’s a bit of a mixed bag if we’re being honest. Most folks reckon the staff are absolute legends – super friendly and always ready to help you find what you’re after. Though like any place, they’ve had their off days. One bloke wasn’t too chuffed about having to wait while a staff member was on the phone, but that seems to be more of a one-off situation than the norm.

They’re pretty convenient with their trading hours, opening their doors from 9am to 6pm Monday through Wednesday, and staying open a bit later until 7pm Thursday through Saturday. They take a well-deserved break on Sundays. The store accepts all the usual payment methods – EFTPOS, cards, and good old cash.

The shop itself feels more like a proper retail space than your typical cramped tobacconist.
