Smokemart Blakeview

Smokemart Blakeview in South Australia is one of those stores that’s really stepped up its game lately. They’ve recently had a bit of a makeover, and crikey, what a difference it’s made! The place is now bright, spacious, and super easy to browse around in. No more feeling cramped while you’re having a squiz at their stuff.

The shop’s got your typical tobacconist goods like cigarettes, rolling papers, and lighters, but they’ve also got a ripper selection of gifts and games that visitors say are pretty reasonably priced. It’s actually become a bit of a go-to spot for pressie shopping, which is a nice bonus when you’re already popping in for your usual supplies. You can pay with cash, card, or EFTPOS, so no dramas there.

The customer service here is honestly something else. We’ve heard heaps of stories about how the staff go above and beyond. There’s this pearler about how one of the staff members, during a busy lockdown day, helped a customer find their lost engagement ring in the mall. Talk about dedication! The team seems to really know their regulars too – some visitors say the staff often have their usual items ready before they even ask.

They’re open pretty much all week, kicking off at 8am Monday through Saturday (though Sunday’s a bit of a sleep-in with an 11am start). They run until 5:45pm most days, with a late night on Thursday till 7:45pm, and shorter hours on weekends. Just keep in mind they’re pretty strict with their closing times – you might want to rock up a bit earlier than the closing time to make sure you don’t miss out.

What really makes this place stand out is how welcoming it feels. The staff are always up for a chat and a laugh, and they’ve managed to create this really comfortable vibe that makes you want to come back. Whether you’re just ducking in for your regular supplies or having a browse through their gift section, you’ll probably find yourself having a better shopping experience than you expected.
