City Choice Tobacco And Convience Store

City Choice Tobacco And Convenience Store in Toowoomba City has become quite the local spot for more than just your typical tobacconist needs. The place is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to what visitors say about the service – some reckon the staff are absolute legends, always ready with a smile and happy to special order items, while others have had a few not-so-great experiences.

What makes this place stand out is their interesting mix of products. Besides your standard tobacco products, they’ve got this wild collection of lollies from all over the world (you know, the hard-to-find ones that make you feel like a kid in a candy store), plus they stock some pretty unique energy drinks, including those elusive Zap energy shots that some people drive all the way from Ipswich to get their hands on. There’s also an ATM inside, and they keep basic groceries, Panadol, and party supplies if you’re in a pinch.

The hours are pretty decent too. They’re open from early morning most days, staying open until 8pm Monday through Wednesday, pushing it to 9pm on Thursdays, and going properly late until midnight on Fridays. Saturday’s when they really shine though – they’re open 24 hours, which is pretty handy if you’re out late and need something. Sundays they take it a bit easier, opening at 9am and closing at 8pm. Word is they’re even open on Christmas Day, which isn’t something you see every day.

They accept EFTPOS, card, and cash payments, making it convenient no matter how you prefer to pay. Some visitors have mentioned the store layout can be a bit tricky to navigate, but if you’re not sure where something is, just ask – most of the time, the staff are happy to point you in the right direction. Worth noting that one regular customer mentioned they’re good about ordering in specific items if they don’t have what you’re after, so don’t be shy about asking.
