Smokemart Mackay Caneland Shopping Centre

Smokemart Mackay Caneland Shopping Centre, located in QLD, is a well-stocked tobacconist that’s become quite the local fixture. The store offers a broad range of tobacco products and smoking accessories, plus they’ve got this ripper collection of giftware that’s caught many shoppers’ eyes. We’ve heard from visitors that browsing through their store is actually pretty fun, with interesting bits and bobs around every corner.

The staff here generally know their stuff inside and out. Most visitors rave about the service, saying the team takes time to understand what you’re after and doesn’t push for a sale. The blonde lady working afternoons gets particularly good mentions – apparently she’s a gem at keeping regulars updated about new stock. Some people even drive from across town just for the service, which says something, doesn’t it?

They’re open seven days a week, with extended hours on Thursdays until 9pm. Other weekdays they’re open 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 5:30pm, and Sundays they kick off a bit later at 9am, closing at 5pm. The shop accepts all standard payment methods including EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you won’t be caught short.

While cigars are part of their stock list, we’ve heard mixed feedback about the cigar selection and service in that department. The store has gone through some changes over the years, and most visitors reckon it’s looking better than ever. One regular mentioned they’ve got these beauty blankets – must be part of their gift range – and their lighting selection apparently gets a thumbs up too.

What really stands out is how the place has evolved. Recent visitors say the atmosphere is much more welcoming now, and the store layout makes it easy to find what you’re after. Whether you’re popping in for your regular supplies or hunting for a pressie, it’s worth checking out – just maybe not during the Thursday night shopping rush when everyone and their dog is at Caneland.
