About
Graceville Convenience Store & Tobacconist in Queensland is one of those local gems that’s really made a name for itself through good old-fashioned customer service. The owner, Tom, has become bit of a local legend, actually. We’ve heard countless stories about how he always greets everyone with a smile and loves having a proper chat with his customers. Not just your typical “how’s the weather” small talk, but genuine conversations that make you feel like you’re catching up with a mate.
The store stocks all your typical tobacconist items like cigarettes, rolling papers, and lighters, but they’ve branched out to become more of a one-stop shop. You can grab groceries, ice cream, and other convenience items while you’re there. They’re even on Uber Eats now, which is pretty handy when you can’t be bothered heading out. From what visitors tell us, everything’s priced really fairly too. Tom apparently works hard to keep his prices competitive, and regulars reckon it’s worth supporting this local business over the bigger chains.
They’re open nice and early on weekdays, starting at 6:30 in the morning and going until 7 at night. Weekends are a bit more relaxed with a 7am start, but they still keep those 7pm closing hours, which is pretty convenient if you need to duck in after work. The store accepts all the usual payment methods including EFTPOS, cards, and cash, so you won’t get caught short at the register.
What really sets this place apart though is how Tom and his team go above and beyond for their customers. We’ve heard stories of people who’ve been shopping there since day one and won’t go anywhere else. It’s that kind of place where you walk in as a customer and walk out feeling like part of the community. Bit of a dying breed these days, if you ask me, but it’s good to see some shops still doing things the proper way.
