Free Choice Tobacconist Alexandra Hills

Free Choice Tobacconist Alexandra Hills in QLD is your typical suburban tobacco shop, stocking the usual suspects like cigarettes, rolling papers, and various smoking accessories. The shop keeps fairly regular hours through the week, opening at 7am and closing at 6:30pm most days, with a late night on Thursday until 8pm. Weekend hours are a bit different, with Saturday running 7am to 6pm and Sunday having a later start at 9am, closing at 5pm.

Look, I’ve got to be straight with you – the customer service here has been a bit of a talking point, and not in a good way. We’ve heard from quite a few visitors that their experiences have been less than stellar. There seems to be some ongoing issues with the staff member behind the counter, with multiple reports of rather unfriendly interactions. Some customers have mentioned being refused service without clear explanation, while others have reported feeling uncomfortable during their visits.

The shop accepts various payment methods including EFTPOS, card, and cash, though there’s been a bit of chatter about some interesting reactions to paying with coins. One bloke mentioned trying to pay with gold $2 coins and cop a bit of grief for it, which is a bit rough when you think about it – money’s money, right?

The store layout is pretty straightforward, though we’ve heard that customers are expected to be mindful about handling merchandise before purchase. It’s probably worth mentioning that some visitors have suggested checking out alternative tobacco shops in the area if you’re after a more relaxed shopping experience. While every business has its off days, the consistent feedback suggests you might want to know what you’re in for before popping in.

Look, at the end of the day, if you’re just after your standard tobacco products and don’t mind keeping your head down and getting straight to business, this shop has what you need. Just maybe don’t expect too much chit-chat or plan on browsing around too much while you’re there.
