Ginger Cat Mart and Tobacconist

Ginger Cat Mart & Tobacconist in Dee Why, NSW is one of those gems you love stumbling across. This top-rated store has really made a name for itself on the Northern Beaches, and it’s not hard to see why. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by their famously friendly staff – and yes, visitors often rave about the bloke with the pink hair who’s apparently become bit of a local legend for his exceptional service.

What sets this place apart is their impressive range of tobacco products, including premium cigarettes, rolling papers, and other smoking accessories. But they’re more than just your average tobacconist. The store’s got this great selection of snacks, drinks, and even Asian goods that you might not expect to find. We’ve heard from quite a few people that they stock items you’d typically have to go overseas to find, which is pretty ace if you ask me.

Price-wise, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Visitors consistently mention the reasonable prices across their entire range, and it’s clear the shop works hard to keep things competitive. The store accepts EFTPOS, card, and cash payments, making it convenient for everyone.

The customer service here is something else entirely. Whether you’re after detailed product information or just browsing, the staff go above and beyond to help out. One visitor even called it the best tobacconist service they’d experienced on the Northern Beaches, which is saying something!

They’re open from 9am to 10:30pm Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and they stay open a bit later until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The extended hours make it dead easy to pop in whenever you need to. The whole place has this really welcoming vibe about it, and you can tell the team genuinely enjoys helping their customers. It’s the kind of store where you walk in for one thing and end up having a nice chat with the staff while you’re at it.
