Dapto Tobacconist

Dapto Tobacconist in New South Wales is one of those local gems that’s really made a name for itself in the Illawarra region. The shop carries a solid selection of tobacco products, from your everyday smokes to rolling papers and lighters, plus they’ve got an ATM inside which comes in pretty handy.

What really sets this place apart is the top-notch service you get every time you walk in. The staff are absolute champions – we’ve heard they remember regular customers’ preferences and always greet everyone with a smile. One visitor mentioned how the same bloke serves them each time and knows exactly what they want without asking, which is the kind of personal touch you don’t find everywhere these days.

Price-wise, this place is a real beauty. Visitors reckon it’s among the cheapest spots in the Illawarra for tobacco products, and that’s saying something. They’re owned by the same folks who run the Unanderra shop, so you know you’re getting consistent pricing and service. The shop’s got quite a following of loyal customers who’ve been coming back since they first opened their doors.

They’re pretty generous with their trading hours too. Open from 7 in the morning till 7 at night Monday through Wednesday and Friday to Saturday, with a late night on Thursday till 8pm. Sundays they’re open 8am to 6pm, so you’re sorted pretty much whenever you need to pop in. The store accepts EFTPOS, card, and cash payments, making it convenient for everyone.

The place has this nice aromatic scent that some customers love, and the whole setup feels welcoming and professional. It’s not just a quick in-and-out shop – though they’re definitely efficient if that’s what you’re after. The staff take their time when needed and make sure everyone gets sorted with what they’re looking for. Fair dinkum, it’s the kind of local business that makes you want to keep coming back.
